Not all geothermal is made equal
Our Direct Exchange (DX) Geothermal is installed with copper and environmentally friendly refrigerant. Copper is a conductor and there is no better way to transfer heating and cooling energy than using the copper and refrigerant combination. Water based geothermal relies on plastic and antifreeze mixed circulated with water with multiple pumps and heat exchangers. Plastic is an insulator and not a preferred method of transferring heat energy.
DX Geothermal is 20-30% more efficient than water based geothermal and should be the system that you install in your home.
