How Geothermal Energy works

Understanding the DX Heating and Cooling Process.

In the winter months the earths temperature/heat is transferred from the earth to the direct exchange earth loop or earth tap as they are referred to. These loops are filled with refrigerant. The refrigerant goes outside to the direct exchange earthloop field and extracts the heat from the ground and brings it back into the house. The DX heatpump transfers the heat from the ground to the air handler where a fan blows across the hot coil and moves the warm air into your ductwork system.

In the summer months the system runs in the opposite direction removing the heat from your home along with the unwanted humidity. This process cools down your home and makes it way more comfortable. DX geothermal will remove more humidity and make your home a more comfortable place to be. Once the heat is removed from your home it will go back to the earthloop field outside your house and be discharged and stored in the earth for next winter. This is the most efficient, effective, and reliable way to heat and cool your home.

This process requires significantly less energy to run saving you money throughout the year. It is quieter and provides a more uniform heating and cooling making your home environment more enjoyable to be in. By eliminating your gas or oil furnace or your gas or oil boiler you are helping to lower your carbon footprint. You are saving money while also helping to save our planet.
